Speaking as someone who has both a Race Face Evolve XC and a Deus XC (admittedly, no DH crank in that little line-up) in my closet (the former is going on my Komodo to replace my already worn out Truvativ crank -- actually, just the chainrings are worn out, the BB is alright -- as soon as I get the time): there is little to differentiate the design of the two chainrings, but the Deus rings have a much higher level of finish and the Evolve rings do lack Race Face's boast of "Made in Canada" (instead, they're made in Taiwan). Not that that's particularly conclusive about their quality, but they're apparently not Race Face's famous Canadian rings.
