The early Avocet Racing I saddles were fairly flat across the top in the rear. They were the plain vanilla model with no special treatment to the softer plastic shells. See bottom picture on Page 42 of the 1978-79 catalog page below.
Turbo saddles had a rounded top in the rear and were more like the Unicanitor style. Guaranteed case of "sleepy winky syndrome" for some riders....

Avocet Saddles 1984 Palo Alto Catalog. These had thicker padding and Racing Model looks closer to Turbo saddles???
When I first saw the Avocet saddles in 1977. I ordered one of each type for the shop. Months later one of the Women's WI Racing model came in. I put it on my Rough-Stuff off road, road bike to give it a try. It was far better than whatever I was using.
Later a Touring I arrived and I switched it out with the Women's I saddle. It was GREAT for off road!
It took a year for the rest of the original order to arrive. In the mean time, we found that we could get the same saddles from Andre Bertin/Milremo with the Selle Italia badge.
