What I have is waterproof enough. What I am looking for is a windproof, but not waterproof cover. I want to maximize breathability while keeping the wind out. I've ordered something (see link below) that doesn't appear to be waterproof. I'll let you know if it is more comfortable than my Gore helmet cover.

The added reflectivity of that helmet cover seems like a good thing, but I'm also curious why a softshell skull cap that covers the ears wouldn't be most effective for the task.
