I will try to buy some ball bearings and replace them.

I fail to understand the diagram fully though. What should be done with the bearings I have marked in yellow below? Do they sit below the little cilindrical part right next to it? So meaning you need to put 9 or so loose ball bearings in the bottom of the pedal body before assembling the rest?

Perhaps those with experience on these pedals could help explain? Thanks!!
