Big Ring Cycles in Golden is a nice shop, recently rated one of the best. I think they have an espresso machine and maybe some nice Whiskey if you ask politely. Some pretty bikes in there.

If you'll have a bike with you or want to hire a bike, the ride up lookout mountain from Golden is one of the best climbs you'll ever do.

I don't spend much time in Golden - if you make it to Boulder, check out some of the shops on Pearl Street. The Rapha store is pretty cool.
