Did you bed the pads in? That will help with both performance and noise. I've never had any issues with properly bed pads/rotors. Thanks for weighing it, I'm really curious to see where mine lands, heavier frame, but I'm doing the 5D bars and di2, if it's around my Tarmac weight I'll be happy.
Sorry to see the damage, but I agree with the others that have stated that looks like shipping damage, hope they get you taken care of properly.
I didn't bed the pads in - should have done that (I do wish Fezzari included setup hints/a getting started guide with the bike!). The issue was grit on the brake pad, I'm pretty sure - was getting a scraping sound just spinning the front wheel. Cleaned that off and did a short/dry ride this weekend and no issues with the discs.
And yes, it's a bummer, and I'm not all that excited about going another few weeks without a bike (I'm also worried about more damage in the round trip)... but I guess this is a chance you take buying things online instead of locally.
