I'm 90% certain I saw Levi Leipheimer on a training ride on southbound Highway 1 heading for Tomales Bay today around noon.

My co-worker and I were driving up behind a group 6-9 riders, most of whom were in yellowish and red jerseys. However, the guy at the front was in a full Gerolsteiner kit. We passed them and I turned around (being in the passenger seat) to look at the Gerolsteiner rider. We had on dark sunglasses and a blue beanie--also the only guy without a helmet. We let them pass and then overtook them again so I could look twice. Like most of us, I've seen Levi on some commercials, at televised press conferences and televised races. Not seeing him before in person makes me uncertain as to whether it's actually him, but I know he is training in the Santa Rosa area to prep for the ToC.

I would say they were scoping out the route for Stage 1; but if so, they were doing to backwards.
