I do not believe the 47 indicates the year.
I looked at several things on your bike, and then narrowed it down to 49, no one thing was decisive.
But, it would not surprise me if it was a 48 or 50.
Its older then I thought. It's pretty cool to have found a 70 year old Peugeot in a field. Thanks for your investigation.
