The VC posse amaze me... Nice idea, but it's the equivalent of surfing and then expecting not to get dumped on the grounds that surfboards float.... You may have the 'legal right' to your bit of road, but are you really that sure of it that you want to argue your point from a hospital bed?! :-D
Far from being positive or helpful, this reflects a defensive view that cyclists are inferior to motorists and have no rights. If you know how to ride in traffic, your right to the road is not only "legal" but actual.
