My dog is growling, and the idiot didn't have a muffler, so I heard him like a mile away driving to my house. He gave up and never heard from him since. Since then, I refuse to give my address and only meet people in a public place.
But on Facebook, I can check the person out and see if they are legit. It's easier to tell who is phony and what area they are living in.
In addition to a public place, I noticed many towns have a public trading place designated adjacent to the police station for these types of transactions. Seems like a good idea and would surely deter the CL crazies.
