Title says it all. Once again, I'm seriously considering the MCD frame when it makes its arrival in early March (according to the website). However, for my new bike, I really want the ability to put on 650b x 47 tires with a suitable fender, which I guess would be 60mm. The website says 50mm fender is max, but it also says it can take a 50mm tire, so I'm thinking the 50mm fender max is a bit conservative.
Anyone here squeeze in a bigger fender on the either the monster cross or the monster cross disc? The spacing on both forks are supposed to be the same.
For the rim brake version, the stated max width is 50mm.

I have the frame and use 50mm fenders- they fit fine and I didnt think twice about the size at nstallation.
