I know you are not supposed to reuse regular pins, but the reason given for that is that you lose that tiny o-ring at the end when you take it out, so you make that a weakspot, but the specialized connection pin doesn't have anything like that. It didn't even have the pilot tip.

What speed chain?
if 9 or more, expect problems.
I turned a RDER into a pretzel because I forgot and reused a 9 speed pin.
Quick Links make life simpler. Much easier to remove the chain for a thorough cleaning.
