I realized I have a good start to a bench already. I have the Captain's Pedestal base for our old waterbed, stacked on the basement. 4 drawers and a cabinet each piece. I just need to make them one piece and add a work top, and peg board backing... I've tried to sell the waterbed for quite some time, might as well put it to use.
