Make sure that the threading of the bottom bracket cage is compatible with the bottom bracket: • Italian Thread: 36x24 tpi; • English Thread: 1.370x24 tpi Rework the threading of the bottom bracket cage using the specific tool. Rework the right-hand side of the bottom bracket cage using the specific tool. Make sure that there is a hole for water drainage underneath the bottom bracket cage. BOTTOM BRACKET INSTALLATION Warning: If you have any doubt whatsoever your service-repair ability, please take your bicycle to a qualified repair shop. Before any maintenance operations on your wheels, always wear gloves and protection glasses. Use original spare parts exclusively provided by Fac Michelin Spa. • Fit the pre- assembled cartridge in the bottom bracket cage, inserting it from the right side. • Fully tighten the right-hand support, against bottom bracket cage, using bottom bracket tool’s and a torque wrench with a 24mm insert to a torque setting of 70 N.m. • If the bottom bracket has English threading (1.370x24 tpi), the right-hand support must be tightened counterclockwise; if the bottom bracket has Italian threading (36x24 tpi), the right-hand support must be tightened clockwise; • Fully tighten the left-hand support, against bottom bracket cage, using bottom bracket tool’s and a torque wrench with a 24mm insert to a torque setting of 35 N.m. • If the bottom bracket has English threading (1.370x24 tpi), the right-hand support must be tightened counterclockwise; if the bottom bracket has Italian threading (36x24 tpi), the right-hand support must be tightened clockwise;
