Caught in the awkward phase between modern and vintage, my 1990 Schwinn Worldsport is what I like to call 'old'. Just wanted to post some photos to show that 'old' doesn't have to mean ugly
It has a number of upgrades, namely 105 FD and RD, 700c conversion, and various bits and pieces that make it a little lighter and work a little better.
I also need some opinions on the Schwinn chrome fenders. They seem too small to be functional, but they look pretty nice if you ask me. I just don't want to bolt anything to the bike that is going to increase weight without really serving a functional purpose, 'bike rice' if you will.
So here is my commuter in all its mediocre glory
So what do you think of the fenders? They are just laid in place in this pic, no bolted up. Anyone use them and know whether or not they actually work?
