That appears to be the same frameset used on the Centurion Ironman Carbon. These were a 1988 model, though I saw one that turned up with a 1991 serial number! It was still labeled as Centurion, so I assumed it was a European market model coming out of the German company and using the same source. So, even though a Diamond Back carbon fibre road bicycle wasn't marketed in the USA, it could been catalogued in a foreign country. The 1991 sample had the serial number stamped on the inside of the non-drive side rear dropout.
Good thought T-Mar, this one does not have a SN anywhere. The Irongents and I compared it to the Carbon Ironman and the Carbon R, the frames were almost identical. other than the headbadge, the frame material sticker is different too. the Fork was different also and looks to be original.
