I also pulled out my old roadie, my Schwinn Tempo. I first built it with a hodge podge of parts from the frame and fork up, with a different wheelset. It never really felt right, so I swapped over some basic LX stuff from my Miele, and swapped a different wheelset with some nice 28c tires. Its a tight fit and I just cruise it, but its still fast for its age. The shifting is perfect and its dead silent. Love that bike and I dont think I can ever get ride of it.

Here was the first iteration. The tires were too small for my build, and the shifting was never right because the chainring was waaay to big.

Swapped over some bits and here how it sits. She's no beauty queen, but far better than how I found it
