There have been threads on wobbling and many times there is no apparent reason discovered. It seems that certain combinations of bike/wheel/rider sets up a frequency that causes a wobble.
I had a friend who had a Miele with a wicked death wobble and nothing he did would stop it so he got rid of the bike. I've never had a speed wobble on a bike. Lucky me.
Damn things better not be flexing with all the hype about how stiff they are.
