I've never done this before and debating whether or not to attempt it myself. I'd really like to do it myself to save money and to learn how so I don't have to rely on my price gouging LBS all the time. I've swapped bars and changed the hoods but I've never actually cut and hooked up the cables and housing. Is this pretty simple to do.

LBS = $225 for two 9spd 105 shifters (labor not included)

Nashbar = $200 for two 9spd 105 shifters and Park cable/housing cutter.
