I did my 10 "newbie" posts, so I can now add photos!
Here is my 1989 Trek 520 converted to and STI setup. For now, I decided I will keep the 1985 Raleigh Kodiak tourer with its current downtube friction shifters, and the 6 speed rear cog. New cables, brakes, bottom bracket spindle, tires, and other bits have been ordered. In the meantime, I will service the headset bearings, clean up the frame, service the hubs etc.
