I was out riding my bike yesterday in overcast conditions. Not dark/night conditions, but definitely not bright sunny conditions either. This started me thinking that a front light (I had the Garmin Varia on the back of my bike) would be a good idea.
Can anyone recommend a good front light for a road bike? Preferably one that interfaces with my Garmin 520 head unit? On one of the other threads a user said they like the Bontrager Ion 200 RT. Does anyone have experience with this light?

See or be seen? How long does the battery need to last? Garmin UT800 (800 lumen) interfaces with 520 (I have one). You can manage through the edge, see remaining battery. Here it is with the Garmin mount it came with (the "urban" edition. The "trail" edition comes with a helmet mount). . The UT800 has several intensity modes, including flashing and low output slow pulsing.
Frankly I wouldn't get anything that didn't put out 800 lumen or more for seeing at dusk or night or being seen in the daylight.
