Alan from Bay area and just got my new bike! Covid19 forced us to stay home here in north California and I had wfh from mid March. I just figured it's time to pick up a bike (haven't owned one since high school - 6 years ago!)

Did some research and found a nice deal from Sports Basements here. It's a closeout 2019 Cannondale Synapse Carbon Disc Tigra Flatbar. MSRP USD$1890, closeout price $1399, and a 20% store wide sale brought it further down to $1119. Guess price was not too bad.

I ordered it online and picked it up fully assembled in store. Due to the coronavirus thing they had to bring the bike outside and adjusted the sizing for me. They also offered one complementary bike service in three month. Hope the virus thing is gone by then, but anyway my company encourages alternative commuting and we have an in-house bike shop that do service for no labor charge at all, so guess I may use it for my 7-mile commute when I can get back to office.

Did some weekend-ride around my neighborhood and reginal parks. The bike is awesome, although the road surface is a bit rough and I am thinking swapping tire for 700x32 (come with 700x28).
