Glad you’re making a full recovery. And yes, modern medicine is amazing when it works. Just the stories about a few decades ago are rough.

Heck the size of appendectomy scars across my lifetime has shrunken amazingly. Not that I’ve had it done personally.

Though hey, anyone know what an appendix weighs?
