You paid $1300ish 3-4 years ago. I don't believe backers paid him enough to create a factory and hire his own employees. He claimed that he invested $1 million of his own funds into this project. Therefore I would not be so demanding.

Additionally Kickstarter rules are clear. He owes backers nothing.

I worked at a startup where early VC investors were worried about the company folding. So they constantly called and emailed everyone until it folded. Kinda ironic.....I would keep quiet and show some appreciation.
