I actually talked with this guy a few days ago. It is a rare one. A 1978 when they weren't realesed until 1980. The research he has on the bike shows it to be 1 of 16 that were for a 1978 Race team. This was a backup. This is 1 of 3 that made it to the US prior to the 80 release. Notice the 1980 has water bottle mounts, this one doesn't. He even has the original sales info dated 1978. Leastwise that's the story. Talked to him again today and it sounds like it's sold, but i'm still gonna have a look at it for fun on Thursday, in case he has a "no show".
