i totally agree with extort.. JUST DO IT! at the very beginning you'll be climbing a bit... but after that... it's a good ride (well.. ok.. if they haven't fixed the road in indio.. there is a bumpy stretch!)

oh... and you can only latch on to my seat if extort is pulling me with the tow rope.... otherwise you and i are both on our own power!

scvroadie! welcome to bikeforums!!!!!! we'll be looking for you at the parking lot! i think that the bikejournal guys (and gals) are gonna start there too! at the rate it's going.. maybe more riders will start "outside" than "inside!" lol!

i haven't decided what i'm wearing yet (and I"M the ocp one! *gasp*) actually.. i was gonna wear my bikejounal jersey with armwarmers (tan lines.. ICK!!!!) but with it getting into the 80's... i need to go sleeveless i think! cuz even my cold self won't be wanting to ride with long sleeves (especially armwarmers!)

however... for the morning.. i should have on my new white jacket! and of course my ruby red bike!

now i just hope there's no wind! north palm springs can be VERY windy (why do you think they have all the windmills there! lol!)

oh and extort... "catch" you at the beginning... i plan on attaching that tow rope while were stopped... waiting to get going! you're literally pulling me from the beginning... gee.. might be my fasted century ever (not sure how many calories i'll actually burn though!

as for everyone else... say "hey" as you fly by should my tow rope break! i'm NOT fast! just steady and determined!!!!!!!!!!!!!
