^looking at the route you posted, the most scenic parts (imho) are in the first 3rd of the ride just when you are getting warmed up.
i wouldn't go overboard but the stretch heading west (and then back to the north shore of the lake) away from big bear lake is
especially picturesque. if you're a scenic picture guy, you'll want to snap a few along that stretch.
Yeah I'd call the entire ride picturesque but you're right along the 18 to/from Snow Valley to the dam it's difficult to focus on the road not the canyons! Lots of cyclists take pics on that stretch.
