Getting my Trek 520 "test-loaded" for first time. Hopefully can get out for some local touring in the upcoming months as COVID restrictions lift. The Ortlieb front rollers are new as well, the MEC panniers I have had for some time.
Didn't get everything loaded but got all the big items except sleeping pad which can go on the back rack too with the tent rods. This is including a relatively warm sleeping bag, small camp chair and a not so compact three-person tent. Even with the relatively luxurious packout the weight isn't terrible.
And in reality I will be travelling with my wife for most occasions so we can divide some of the tent and cooking ware load.
