All the bikes in the same price range are similarly equipped, so the brand doesnt really matter. They may all be made in the same factory in Taiwan or Vietnam. It is more important to find a helpful bike shop. If you get a bike for $300 or less, ask them to swap out the rear wheel for something stronger. It will be well worth the money. After you have been riding the bike for a couple of weeks, take it back to the shop to have the spokes retensioned and the gearshift cables readjusted. Enjoy!!
