Does anyone with the Rengade have this gap in their FSA Orbit c-40b (according to the Jamis specs for the 2017 Renegade Exile)

I'm trying to figure out if this is normal or not:





With the stem removed, there is this silver ring (or is it a bearing?) with a split in it that is very tight and won't push down or pull out
