I figured the French assumed that you just set your seatpost once,........ and forget it......
On steel bikes, like the 1984 Peugeot PSV (Built with Supervitus 980 tubing), which I have, the grub screw actually had a pointed end, meant to dig into a shallow groove machined into the back of the JPR seatpost that Peugeot provided with the bike.......
