You can cut fenders at the fork crown and seatstay bridge and use River City's brackets to join the two halves. (The bike does need to have drillings for rim brakes.) Means fenders on and off is a little more tedious but not a lot.
These sounded like exactly what I'd been looking for a bicycle of mine that no longer has clearance for a fender on the front.. So I looked into it and it appears that the River City Reach-around brackets comes with two brackets for the back but only one for the front. What if you want use both halves of the front fender? Buy two sets of these brackets (at $22 each)?
