I ordered red handlebar tape to match the accent color on a Trek 1000. When I looked at the bike and then the tape they weren't the same red. So here is the tape used for hedge clippers.
I found some foam tape in the lawn and garden area at Walmart one day that was identical to handlebar tape. It was sold in single rolls for wrapping tool handles. At only $3 a roll, I bought a few.
