Why would I compare gloves to helmets? I’ve only ever replaced cycling gloves after losing one or both of a pair. I think I’ve bought 4 pairs total in 30 years of cycling.

If you said shorts, I go through those a lot quicker. But then, I can’t wear the same pair of shorts for 3 rides on consecutive days.
