Hi all,
I had a spill on my bike the other day, completely my own fault and fell on some asphalt. Right handlebar and pedal got the worst of it, but some nicks on the right backside of the fork. You will have too decide or bring it to someone who can.
I would start with a test.
Do the brakes line up correctly?
Is the wheel position correct?
Rock the bike back and forth hard on the brakes lean you body weight over the saddle. Do it as hard as you can.
Is it different then before?
Does it make a noise?
Does the damage look different?
Is the wheel position correct or has it moved?
Take the wheel out twist and turn the fork blades.
Are they both the same?
Does the damage change shape?
If everything is normal
Short slow ride
This is a start. Go from there.
If any of the answers where not satisfactory then there is a problem.
And you must decide what needs doing.
