Just looking at the stretch bumps in the rubber indicates a failing rim strip and allowing the tube to stretch into a spoke hole.
Holes are on the inside towards the rim. Tape is cloth Zefal and nearly new. Laying the tube on the rim puts the holes in a solid portion of the rim NOT over a spoke hole.

I am thinking that the possibly I was trapped the tube under the bead, maybe.
