i swear by their merino base layers and own like 6 of the short sleeve ones and four of the long sleeve ones (recently picked up 1 ss and 3 ls) and have
found their jerseys-even the thin flyweight or lightweight ones meant for hot days-last for years with proper care if you don't shove the rear pockets full to bursting on every ride.
i used to handwash all of my rapha (and cycling clothing) and then line dry but nowadays, i machine wash it and line dry it. still holds up well. have 3 of the thicker "classic" jerseys
and have owned them all 7+ years with them all seemingly having years to go. Most worried about the second jersey i ever bought from them, an original "lightweight" hot weather, full-zip jersey.
love the look of it (slightly higher collar) but it's gotta be nearly a decade old. wear it about 25x a year. zipper is getting a little dicey and there are a few little holes in the rear pockets
from the occasional overstuffing. garment still performs beautifully on those hot days tho. guess i'll just start wearing it unzipped on the 90+ degree rides. have a neck gaiter from them that's
going on its' fifth year w/o issues. got a 3 yo winterish jacket that's good down to about 30 degrees f. have never tried the bibs. have tried four pairs of the arm warmers over the years and
find that a pair will last through a year/season before the upper arm elasticity gets too loose and the arm warmer is continually sliding down.

was curious about the semi-recent "core" line so bought a regular core jersey for $80 and was so impressed, i picked up another within the week.

if you buy the stuff through their website (and not at one of their stores/pop-up stores) and set up an account, it comes in handy since they'll do repairs (if able) if they can verify
date of purchase/order number (archived on your account) in case of a crash. in the case they can verify the purchase but the repair is too costly, difficult or archaic, they will send you a credit
towards a new rapha item. i think it was $40 last time they couldn't repair a jacket for me.

i've probably spent (between gift cards and outright purchases) $900-$1,000 usd this year with rapha because of the performance, durability and customer service. i usually don't spend that much
every year with them since some years, i'm not digging their colors/style. some years are better than others.

the other two brands i tap for jerseys and occasionally bibs are danny shane and demarchi the last 5 years. had good success with both of them as well but no repair/customer service interactions with either.
