I had an aunt (wife of my mother's brother) named Karen Carpenter. Her family was somehow related to
the Carpenters--Karen and Richard. My cousin ended up with a box full of promotional 45s. "She's Gone" was one of them. Liked that song the first time I heard it. "Maneater", on the other hand, makes my skin crawl.
