Why the threadless velo orange BB? That's pretty expensive. Why not a proper threaded bb since you have a threaded shell? While I'd think your original bb is a cup and spindle, you got a lot of options. If you want to put an entirely new crankset on it, then you aren't limited to just square taper BB's anymore. You can put a hollowtech II or something with an ISIS type crank arm.

Even if you don't want to venture outside the world of square tapers, you should only have to spend less than 18 dollars on a BB if the threads of your shell aren't damaged.
