I'll take my 80# velomobile with no motor over an e-bike any day. It's slow to get going, and positively crawls uphills, but once I'm on level ground, it builds speed nicely to about 22-25 mph. A very slight downhill 3-mile stretch I ride regularly has me cruising at about 35-38 mph. For comparison, when I'm going the other way, I cruise at 15-17, so it's really slight. Doesn't take much.
