I think some people are afraid of crushing the carbon. But the lockring is integral to tubeless setups, so I think you can be assured that the lockring will not damage your rim. If it bothers you, try to find a rubber ring that TL valves usually use.
Alternatively, you can do what was suggested above and use tape. I used masking tape. Any thin tape should work. You don’t need to wrap the valve symmetrically. Adding tape to just one side is enough.
