Bianchi Mixte

Wife's Bianchi Mixte

Picked up this frame 5 years ago for $30 and unfortunately it's been sitting neglected in the shed since. Thought it would be a fun build and ride for my wife whose been gradually riding more as a result of the coronavirus lockdown.
Built it up with parts I've had on hand. The wheels are wolber profil with mavic hubs. The brakes are mid size and comfortably fit the cheap 35mm kendas. Gearing is via an lx 8 speed shifter and 105 long cage derailleur. The chain protector is an old 53tooth chainring I modified and polished.
It is surprising light and sprightly given its geometry and setup. The stem is a cheap Raleigh and the handlebars were a $5 used purchase. The frame was a bit beat up and well used. It was touched up but may go in for a powder coat this winter.
