goldenboy , I have an '85 720, same color and size. I don't do fenders, so 700c 35mm Schwalbe Marathon Supremes fit with plenty of room to spare. And, by the way, it's a great tire. Got them 300 miles before a 2k mile tour last summer and I put on another K or so since. Not one flat. The 720 is the smoothest bike I've ever ridden.
