DOs are taller/narrower. Braisers are shorter, wider and have flared sides, made for cooking partially submerged cuts. Both are worth having.
I was going to say that I could go all Le Cruset Mogul and post a bunch of sideways pics of my cookware, but I don't have boxes of unused pieces waiting in the wings so not quite the same.
