Cherry was brand of brakes manufactured by Cherry Industry Co. Ltd. of Osaka, Japan. They also marketed brakes under their Buffalo brand. Cherry was fairly common on entry level model in the 1970s. The last year for that version of the SunTour VGT was 1973 but I didn't think that the Super LeMans was in production that early. It would be interesting to know the two letter date codes on the back of the derailleurs. Also, both crankarms should have date codes on the back and if they're as early as the rear derailleur, they should be format 4x-x(x).
