I think this may be a Gitane. I've seen those rear dropouts discussed on the Yahoo Gitane discussion list as being some some models of Gitane. Do not toss it! Put it ebay with some good photos. My guess is that you will get a respectable amount for it and may get some info on the bike from the cognescenti.
