Bikes: old ones

.
...I really like the various iterations of Shimano aero pedals, and a lot of them that show up for sale saw little use because they were immediately replaced by people who wanted clipless.
I probably have 20 pair in service on various bicycles right now. The larger toe clips were unobtanium for a while, and were commanding eye popping prices on e-bay for a time.

The toe clips are undersized, so until I lucked into a stash of the XL nylon ones at Colorado Cyclist one time, I only had three or four pair that were rideable.

Those little triangular cleat pieces are unique IME, and unless you actually have the cleats they were designed for on your shoes, they just get in the way. So I grind off the ears to flatten them and use them with flat soled mountain bike shoes.

40 bucks is a solid price if the clips are the right size for the buyer. You can set them up with leather straps and look very stylish. But the beauty of the design is that the platform sits far enough out from the crank to allow almost any toes strap, no matter how thick it is, like the Pake Space straps. Did I say I really like these ?
