I'm trying to use an old set of Suntour GPX brakes on my new ride. I was having trouble with them springing back open after pulling the brake lever. I took them apart to bend the spring in order to get more tension on them and found a coil spring like a derailer has in each arm. I have attempted to tweak the springs and I did increase the tension a bit but they still won't move the brakes fully open. I have never worked on brakes like these and was wondering if anybody has any wisdom about them.
