I posted this in the "Saved from the dump" thread a couple of months ago and there has since been an update. I refurbed this '85 Schwinn Sprint for a close friend who wishes to get into shape and start cycling. He had it until a couple of days ago when he gave it back to me. It turns out that he just couldn't get used to DT shifters. It is in great shape, I swapped out a bunch of parts and put on a spare 700c wheelset. It even has the LBS sticker still on it and the owner is still in business and remembers selling a few of these. Luck has it that I saved another bike recently from Public Works guys who were about to throw it in the back of their dump truck while cleaning a city park. This one is a brifter-equipped 2009 Specialized Allez in great condition so the swap was made. Now to find a new owner for this Schwinn...
