People: Pirates. Thanks for the ongoing sociological experiment. Thanks that we're all so different. Thanks that my reluctant "I need a nap" is always met with, in some form, a convincing argument for, say, a 26 mile ride up Cap Crescent Tr. and down Rock Creek Pkwy instead. Thanks for making realize what I really need to do sometimes: more fun, less grump, chill out, drink up, fall over, get up, ride on, eat pie, keep it awesome. Pirate for life.
edit* + Thanks to the BF for helping me pass time at my day job. Thanks SS/FG, cuz "you're the funny one."
Places: DC--the city of ambivalent people through a revolving door. Thanks for making me realize you have to fight to be content. Thanks PMA. Thanks riding past monuments, for being so pretty at night that it's surreal. Thanks riding laps at Hains Point in the rain, making $1.50 grilled cheese taste like the best thing in the world. Thanks Key bridge, a peaceful ride before the hills of Arlington kick my a$$ before I am home.
Things: Challenge KA proof press, a Rembrandt elephant etching press, a NuArc vacuum table, and a Raleigh Sportif, these machines saved my life.
Misc: the smell of ink, npr on the radio saturday mornings at my studio, waiting for the snow, a deckled edge on paper, coffee in a french press.
